OSMA CASTLE MASTER PLAN

The study of the fortress has revealed its relevance as one of the oldest and important Christian fortifications in Europe built around the year 930 by the King Ramiro II of León as frontier of Christendom against the power of the Caliphate of Córdoba. The complex evolutionary process of its walls, the extraordinary Ramirense constructive qualities and exceptionality and technological sophistication of their defensive loopholes are some elements that pivot the study proposals and recovery that the Master Plan contains.
