HOTELS LOCATED IN NOBLE MANSIONS AND IN MONTELALEGRE CASTLE

Pilot project of private initiative for the full recuperation of a historical set with the incorporation of hotel uses and services, recovering four old noble mansions, some of them very ruined, two plots and the castle courtyard as the representative element of the hotel.
The work methodology is based on the recognition of values and typological and volumetric features of the historical buildings, accommodating the uses the characteristics of these spaces instead creating the spaces according to the uses.
The inclusion of several buildings and plots avoids that the conditions of use and profits (number of rooms, general services, etc..) incise negatively in the conservation of historic structures very valuables in which, for example, it is not possible to open new holes or to incorporate machinery and fittings which specific requirements are not always compatible with their conservation.
