The Strategic Plan and Intervention Criteria in the Fortified Architecture of Castilla y León, commissioned by the Regional Government (Junta de Castilla y León), is basically a comprehensive study dedicated to the classification and prioritization of knowledge and conservation actions in one of the riches monumental sites of Europe. The systematization of the ways of study, the generation of I+D+i projects in order to attend the special constructive and typological characterization of the fortifications and recognition of Territorial Heritage Systems as a basis for understanding the fortification within a specific geographical area, are some of the keys to this Plan.
